Exchange of the mine hoist machine at Krivoi Rog iron ore complex (KJRK PSC)In May 2011 MIDIEL Ltd. has put into operation CSh5x4KD mine hoist machine at the mine of Krivoy Rog iron ore complex. The hoist machine has a low-speed synchronous motor of console fulfillment controlled by an up-to-date thyristor frequency converter with a DC link, and modern systems of control, automation, shaft signaling and communication, based on programmable logic controllers.
The new hoist machine is designed and manufactured to replace the old MK5x4 machine which had exhausted its resource, and has been installed on the old foundation with only minor alterations. The skips carrying capacity is 35t (compared to the old hoist skips capacity of 25t).
The new machine has increased the hoisting speed from 10 to 14 m/s, and when developing a prospective level -1650m – up to 16 m/s with irreducible capacity of skips.
As to reliability, performance, ease of operation and maintenance, energy saving and many other indicators in Performance/Efficiency ratio, CSh5x4KD mine hoist machine has no analogues in the former Soviet Union.
